Health worker involved in a malaria campaign arrested in Chin state

15 July 2022: In Phaneng village, Matupi township and district, Chin state, the Myanmar military kidnapped a health worker involved in a malaria campaign, along with the health worker’s spouse and other four civilians. The incident occurred following the killing of a Myanmar military major by local defence forces and the victim was reportedly affiliated with the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM).
